Washington, D.C.

I went to D.C. with Joe and his family for a few days—Saturday to Tuesday, actually. I didn’t think we’d be able to do nearly as much as we did. I was—and still am—exhausted. It was a great trip though, and I left feeling like I saw nearly everything I wanted to see. I’d love to go back and see a session of Congress and a few of the museums we missed, but I was really happy about how much we got to see. Here’s what we did, in a nutshell:

Saturday: Drove to DC from Kingsport. Did a car tour of the town because it was raining.
Sunday: Holocaust Museum, Air & Space Museum, walked to the Capitol, Supreme Court, and Library of Congress.
Monday: Visited the Supreme Court Building and Library of Congress. Finished Air & Space, ate lunch at the Museum of the American Indian, and saw the dinosaurs at the Natural History Museum before walking to the Washington Monument.
Tuesday: National Archives, Museum of National History, World War II Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and then walked through GWU to get to our Metro Station.

Here are a few pictures. I posted all of them on Flickr.
